BLF Legal Workshop with Plug and Play Cohort 4
Barakat Law Firm delivered a comprehensive legal workshop for Plug and Play Egypt’s Cohort 4 on December 5, 6, and 7, 2023, engaging 28 startups at various stages of growth. The sessions formed part of the cohort’s ongoing efforts to equip founders with the legal and regulatory knowledge required to scale their businesses effectively.
The workshop addressed a range of critical legal topics, including offshoring strategies and the establishment of holding company structures across different jurisdictions. BLF also discussed the key corporate and commercial agreements that should be in place within a startup, as well as equity incentive and ESOP structures tailored to early- and growth-stage companies. In addition, the sessions covered material legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to each startup’s business model, drawing on BLF’s extensive cross-border experience advising companies across multiple jurisdictions. The discussions were designed to provide practical, implementation-focused guidance rather than purely theoretical insights.
Beyond the group workshops, Barakat Law Firm conducted one-on-one advisory sessions with each participating startup. These sessions allowed founders to address their specific legal matters, risks, and structuring needs in a confidential and tailored setting. Barakat Law Firm regularly delivers legal workshops and advisory programs for accelerators, incubators, startups, and growth-stage companies across different jurisdictions.
